The world is flat!
I don't really think the world is flat. It's just a lovely sentence to write or type. Perhaps one could look at the statement as philosophical in the sense that there is nothing fulfilling in this world - that the world is boring. That's complete nonsense of course. The world isn't flat. It's wonderful. It's beautiful. Mostly, though, it's a roughly oblate spheroid. The point is: the world is
not flat.
The three main subjects one might find when looking through my photographic portfolio are floral, avian, and LEGO. Floral because I like flowers and they're relatively easy to shoot - plus having a macro lens makes floral photography quite fun - like taking portraits of flowers. Avian because I've recently discovered birds make wonderful subjects, even if I find them dastardly difficult to capture. And LEGO because I love LEGO and I have a macro lens - need I say more? My camera is just a humble Canon EOS 1000D - which is getting quite old now. I've had it for a few years and I don't think it's even sold here anymore. The lenses I use are the standard 18-55mm kit lens, a 75-300mm telephoto lens, and my trusty 60mm macro lens.
I also run a bit of a tumblr blog,
oncearoundthesun, and I have a Flickr account,
here, that I will be uploading photos to as well. Some photos will only be at one place and not the others, but mostly its the same sort of stuff. I don't tend to update them as much as here, though.
And lastly, "A year's not so long... just
once around the Sun."
